I've found myself hooked on Dan Browns books. He's the famous author who wrote the Da Vinci Code in 2003. I needed a book to sort of "escape" from this world if you will. From the daily grind of classes and meetings. After watching The Da Vinci Code (which I know, does the book no justice) I was hooked. I liked the back and forth mystery and problem solving. Also learning about past cultures, secrets, and the excitement of believing that some of the information he presents, if not all, is true. It's just a very fun escape into a world that is actually very real. Half of the fun is reading the book and picking the truth out from the text, for me at least. I think my mom actually has Da Vinci Code in her room at the moment...and since I can't sleep, I think I'll just have to go and get it. Peace!

So, I haven't read The Da Vinci Code yet but my first book of his I picked up was Angels & Demons. Which is actually the predecessor to The Da Vinci Code. I actually found a quote in there that basically jumped off the page to me. (See Angels & Demon Quote post)

In his most thrilling novel to date, bestselling author Dan Brown transports readers from the ultra-secret National Reconnaissance Office to the towering ice shelves of the Arctic Circle, and back again to the hallways of power inside the West Wing. Heralded for masterfully intermingling science, history, and politics in his critically acclaimed thriller Angels & Demons, Brown has crafted another novel in which nothing is as it seems—and behind every corner is a stunning surprise. DECEPTION POINT is pulse-pounding fiction at its best." (Source)
